Third Global Conference on Mine Victims Assistance

The third global conference on assistance to victims of anti-personnel mines and other explosive devices in the context of the rights of persons with disabilities began today, 17 October 2023, in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The conference will provide a platform for representatives of affected communities and survivors, persons with disabilities and mine victim assistance practitioners representing the state and civil society, to discuss the global challenges faced in the implementation of mine victim support.

The global conference is expected to bring together more than 150 experts in the fields of mine victim and mine survivor assistance, disability/human rights or their representative organizations, and health, labor, development and other practitioners from more than 45 countries.

At the conference, one of the conference participants is the representative of the Organization of amputees UDAS of the Republika Srpska, Zoran Ješić, mine victim.
The conference will be held from October 17-19, 2023.
